É já em maio que os professores da Guiné-Bissau voltam a paralisar. Os três sindicatos que representam os professores no país apresentaram já um pré-aviso de greve. Está prevista nova paralisação entre os dias sete e nove e catorze e dezasseis de maio.
As exigências continuam a ser as mesmas. Exigem o pagamento de dívidas salariais acumuladas desde 2003 e o cumprimento, integral, do acordo assinado:
De acordo com o porta-voz dos três sindicatos, Bungoma Duarte Sanha, até ao momento "o governo só cumpriu com um dos pontos que foi a publicação da revisão do estatuto de carreira docente no Diário Oficial".
A crise no setor da Educação na Guiné-Bissau tem vindo a agravar-se. As sucessivas greves dos professores já puseram em causa a conclusão de vários anos letivos.
